I have been a customer of Academy/Revive for many years. I booked a cut and blow dry for 4pm today, arrived and checked in with reception at 3.50pm and was asked to take a seat. At 4.15pm i approached reception again as still not called in for appointment i was eventually taken through to the hair salon at 4.25pm to what can only be described as 'total chaos' had to wait till 4.45pm as no sinks available. Well the hair cut by a level 3 student can only be described as apalling, no confidence to cut certain areas of hair then had to wait 20 minutes for Candice (teacher) to attempt to finish off with a very unhappy outcome hair looks dreadful had to cut it myself at home a re wash/dry:0( came out at 5.30pm to no receptionist and just left by Candice to wait. Very poor experience indeed i think your Thurs, Fri and Sat only appointments system needs more students, sinks and teachers! Wont be returning even after my years of being a loyal customer.

Booked with a junior for luxury pedicure which should have taken 1 hour. I was there almost 90 minutes, the therapist only gave me the basic pedicure, had to get a tutor to do cuticle work, didn't know what she was doing, completely didn't touch my heels as they were resting on her knees, wouldn't apply the nail polish (asked another therapist to do it) and moaned about wanting to go home. Didn't even say thank you goodbye to me when I left.

Staff was polite and pleasant on arrival but had got my appointment details completely wrong. After lots of "toooing and frowing" ----( I'll have to go and find out several times.) I was there for 1hr 30mins ---)TO HAVE MY EYEBROWS DONE.I'll think twice before visiting again. This was all 1 day before my son's wedding. I then had to go on Friday and find a salon who would do nails.

Once again not good! Booking time was all over the place,ask to come at 1pm after waiting 15mins was informed time would be 1:30pm. The student was not profectional at all and did not do a good job. The Teacher was very patient with the student and needed to be! I have been coming on and off for a while now hoping things would get better but sadly not. I real shame for such I great set up !

I had a wash,trim and blow dry with a level 3 student called Michelle even though I'd booked online and picked Mia. Michelle and Olivia were more concerned about their fellow students and gossiped rather than give me any client care or chat. Michelle had to ask the tutor for help with every step and the whole process took 2 hours. I have short hair! There were no clippers to finish the treatment and Michelle had to go hunting for some, then she was unsure of the products to use. The blow dry left my hair loking like a cycle helmet rather than how i wanted it. nfortunately because of these faults I've marked this visit low. Because, the tutor coped very well with what seemed like a lot of sulky, gossipy teens who were reluctant to do much!

I arrived at the reception desk on the 11th March at 17:30. One lady was on the phone another young lady was doing some work on the PC ,I was standing at the reception for at least a min with NO acknowledgement from the young lady at all ,I brought up the fact of her not saying anything to a client while standing there ! She said sorry and carried on with her work. What I find disappointing about this is that the young lady did not even think anything of it ,like it is normal not to speak ! A simple "she will be with you in a moment " makes all the difference Training to be a beautician is also about customer service . Maybe the trainers need to make it part of it because clearly it is not !
