Today was the first time that i have visited The Rye Retreat ( other than when i had my consultation before hand) and i had THE BEST experience. Everybody was so lovely from the minute i got there i could tell i was going to be comfortable. I was offered drinks or anything that i may need. I had the beautiful emily colouring my hair today which was a very big job as my hair wasn’t in a very good state. She was very professional the whole time I was there. I was there a while (1pm-5pm as i needed a lot of work done to my hair but time went by very quickly as i was very comfortable. I have very bad anxiety so a lot of the time getting my hair done in a public place is a bit of a chore for me. I didn’t see her stop smiling once, truly a lovely lady. She was very helpful and offered one of the hair masque treatments which i accepted and has done my hair wonders i’ve never felt it so soft and lovely. Emily was very patient and she is definitely very talented. 100% worth the money that i payed and i will 100% be going back.

Never fails to be a pleasant experience! All the staff are welcoming and friendly, the environment is calming and well kept, the music is not too intrusive and a great choice of playlists. Extras such as tea or coffee and biscuits are always welcome and the de-stress massages and hand and arm massages are free and help clients to relax and enjoy their time at The Retreat. Imogen was great today! Professional advice is excellent - a chat where you feel someone is really listening to what you want to achieve and whether or not it would suit. Nothing feels rushed and everyone leaves smiling. The reception staff often get ignored during reviews - so a shout out for them: always accommodating and helpful and efficient on the telephone! They have a 'we'll work around your needs ' sort of attitude in relation to bookings and sales of their great hair products. Final thanks to Joanne - always sorts out my funny frizzy hair and reduces it to a manageable texture and shape that even I can cope with at home! A real professional with a great sense of humour too! Thanks all!

A lovely environment with friendly and helpful staff. Am impressed with Emily's haircutting skills and professional manner and will continue to have my hair cut here..Simon
