This is our second visit to the spa. The welcome was not as friendly and interactive with the staff as the first visit. Recommendation given for what products would be needed for my own facial regime were given in a leaflet, but no prices given or actual products shown to purchase. No samples were given either. On visiting last year they gave us a sample of the product they were recommending. We enjoyed the mini afternoon tea, although I would say there were too many sweet things on there and not enough savouries. Maybe a suggestion of small sausage roll or quiche to go with the small selection of sandwiches. The hotel seating areas are great for relaxing and unwinding.

A great facility for a holiday destination. Very welcoming and friendly staff. The interior decoration of the hotel was incomplete so we had to go past works and wet paint signs to get to the Spa The spa was great fun. Swimming pool, sauna, steam room, outside pool and jet spa all good. My daughter thought the temperature was on the cool side. I thought it was fine. Changing facilities lockers and gym all good. Therapists very friendly and very good. Therapy rooms lovely and comfy. A great respite on a rainy day. Minor criticism - the music was too loud for me and dreary rather than relaxing. It was on a loop that kept repeating all afternoon. Major Criticism - the cakes we were looking forward to all afternoon were DRY to the point where we couldn’t eat them. Shame. The response from staff was ‘ I will let the kitchen know’ - not ‘we will get you a nicer piece’ or ‘come again for tea and cake somwe can show you how well we can treat you.’ After all this is a pamper and a treat. Dry cakes aren’t.

I suggest that it would be good to keep the noise down to a minimum outside the consulting room, so that the customer can really unwind and relax. It did get a bit noisy. It would be nice to be offered a hot drink afterwards. However, I had a lovely massage and I will come again, though it is quite expensive for me, so it will be an occasional visit. I had to rate professional advice, but as I didn't get any I put one star. You need to change the survey - I didn't really need professional advice, but it looks like you've now got a bad rating.
