After trying most hair salons in Lewes as well as Brighton, I have finally found a hair salon where they can actually cut hair amazingly and colour hair exactly how you want !! Adam and Kayleigh listened to me and gave me some ideas and really talked through with me what was best for my hair, instead of most salons just doing what they wanted. My hair looks fantastic, I have had endless compliments, as well as people stopping me in the street to ask where I have my hair done. The salon is beautifully designed and not stuffy. Everyone is friendly and attentive and really makes you feel welcome. Everything in the salon has been well thought out from the confortable waiting area, to the delicious coffee and other drinks on their menu, to the vast array of magazines . I have loved my experience at Newman & Burtenshaw, thank you everyone and I will be making sure that all my friends go to this salon so they can stop getting second rate haircuts from the other salons in Lewes!!!

I and many of my friends have gone to Brighton or London in the past - so we are lucky that Newman and Burtenshaw have come to Lewes! Excellent cutting (I have followed Adam from Trevor Sorbie), stylish salon and very frendly too. Prices lower than you would expect to pay at this level plus saving cost of parking/travel if you live locally. Brilliant!

A very friendly and professional team who are absolutely brilliant at what they do. I used to dread going to the hairdressers but not since having my hair cut by Shaun at Newman & Burtenshaw. I know he will advise me to do what suits me best, and I have never been disappointed. The service is always second to none and the salon is stylish and modern without being intimidating. I wouldn't consider going anywhere else!
