Hopefully my reply to this Survey is accurate I have taken 10 to be excellent.There is no other way to describe Newman and Burtenshaw. Exceptionally professional, skillful, talented and artistic Hair People who carry out their work with dedicated passion. Their enthusiasm, sparkle and vitality is in every move as they cut, blow dry and style your hair. A breath of fresh air to feel that they care about you and your hair.

Adam had been my hairdresser at Trevor Sorbie for the last 8yrs so when I found out he had opened a salon with Sean I had no hesitation in following him there (his own personal stalker!!). I was thinking that it might be a real bother to have to go to Lewes from Brighton but it was actually quicker and using the bus saver was exactly the same travelling costs. The buses stop approximately 2 minutes from the salon and they are every 10 mins - no car parking fiasco's. I also made a day of it by having lunch in Lewes and spent a few hours wandering around the town, which was delightful. Apart from that my hair was beautifully cut as usual. Am looking forward to going back on Thursday to have it highlighted and to make the most of my day in Lewes again.!! Newman & Burtenshaw - HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

The new salon is beautifully furnished and uncluttered, that nice balance of modern furnishings in an historic building. The welcome is genuine and one really feels that a lot of experience, knowledge and energy has gone into preparing a top-quality salon. The welcome and personal approach is something I have not experienced so much elsewhere, and I find booking or other communication via email if needed can be handy sometimes. Friendliness and personal interest is high, and I found that the standard of styling and cutting is well - tops. It would be hard to imagine being in more skilled hands. I am seeking kind of specialist help following my decision to 'go natural' and let my grey hang out, after years of hiding it, the relentless white parting showing earlier and earlier. I feel Shaun is giving me every confidence with that planning, to capitalise on my new look and to cherish this as something special (having had very dark hair all my life, its rather fun going light). Visiting is enhanced by important little aesthetic touches like high-quality glassware for water, and attractive cups for coffee. I also find the pricing fair and open, especially the offer to return for little trims of fringe etc if required, being included in the original price of the cut. This is the type of salon I have been searching for, but not yet found until now.
