I had my eyebrows waxed here, when I went to the front desk to pay, I could see another employee out the corner of my eye looking at me, I didn't think anything of it. When I left and I put my sunglasses on that where hooked on the neck of my jumper, there was something all over the lense, when I took them off I released there was wax poured over them, along with my jumper. There was so much that it would have been hard for anyone to miss. This is why I think the other employee was looking at me, but no one said a word. Not happy with the service, so I won't be going back.

I came to The Cove for gel nails ahead of a wedding I was attending at the weekend. The treatment started with cutting my nails and filing. I had to be very prescriptive with what I wanted (round vs square etc…) as the therapist didn’t ask me. After the filing, the therapist went straight into painting the nails, nothing was done about cuticules so not surprisingly the result obtained was not good and the edges of the nails where not neat at all. I went for a fairly light color and after 2 coats, the coating in the nails was not uniform at all (some thicker parts on the nail and some areas where we could see the nail by transparence…). Again I had to point this out to the therapist as she didn’t seem to see it/care. Reluctantly she added a third coat. She did notice I was not happy with the result (not being neat on the edges and uniformity of coverage) and asked if I wanted to have it redone…. I was 45/50min in my appointment and had commitments afterwards so no I couldn’t afford another 45min to have it redone…. I am really upset as this nail treatment was for a wedding and also very frustrated as it is my second time in The Cove and second bad experience (I had a lava shell treatment done before which went badly and to clarify The Cove customer service was very good and offered fir the treatment to be redone free of charge). I decided to give the Cove another try on a different treatment and once again very disappointed….
