Really enjoyed my couple of hours having highlights. As always everyone was charming and professional. Quiet and relaxed salon. Highlights exactly as I wanted. Would highly recommend this salon. No need to go to London or Brighton when Lewes has N & B.

It is always a real pleasure to have a haircut at the salon. The whole experience is very pleasant, great attention to detail (drinks, being welcome with children, an IPad for clients' use plus a great variety of magazines and lovely toiletries). The haircut by Adam is always superb and lasts at least 6 weeks. It always attracts comments and is very easy to recreate at home so it shows the quality of the cut and not just the quality of the blow dry. Have been going for a year or so and can't imagine going anywhere else now. Katie on reception is always very friendly and adds to the personal touch. Useful text reminder service.

I have always been somewhat nervous having my hair done in other places, but I was immediately filled with confidence at Newman & Burtenshaw. From start to finish - the friendly welcome, the professional input (listening to what I had in mind and then offering professional advice), the amazing transformation of my very dry, damaged hair from from years of harsh highlights, into a sleek layered bob which looked and felt in a really good condition. The colour specialist, Crystal, was a miracle worker as far as I was concerned! She coloured my roots beautifully using a product containing no bleach and the result was fabulous. Adam created a wonderful new style which has given life and bounce to my hair. I am really not exaggerating! The comments from colleagues at work today were extremely complimentary! Thank you.

Well £50 is expensive for a haircut(though with very skilled and prolonged blowdry/styling) but the relief of at last finding someone who doesn't ask what you want but knows what you want makes it well worth it for me. Shaun is not only very expert but also 'high end', that is your hair style is personal to you and you won't see everyone else coming out with the same cut.! The guys both seem very easy, the salon is comfortable, I will return for colour treatment next and wouldn't dream of going anywhere else.Hope they stay in Lewes.
