Waited a long time (~ 5’) after entering salon before anyone bothered to come thro and chrck me in - chatting in corridor at back. When someone did come thro no apology, simply ‘have you been registered?’ No ‘Have you got an appt?’ ‘Yee, 5’ ago’ ‘what is your name?’ Err …. maybe look in book and greet me by my name …. Would you like drink …. Yes please …. Thrust in hand in glass mug so hot had to put it on the floor … no discernible head massage, little or no communication with stylist apart from ne > them re required styling, no social chat/pleasantries. And stylust had yo keave me yo attend to another client at least 4 times. Understandable, but meant I was 15’ over my time, and my busbamd who was following on had to wait 20’ before he was taken thro for his wash. Not the best expeirence - and woupd make me think twice about travelling into Oxford again for quite an expensive cut, with no finesse. Disappointing.

I was not very impressed with my visit - It costs a lot to have a hair cut with you, so the extras do matter - Head massage, hair wash, offer of a drink, hand massage etc. Service with a smile, friendly, happy staff. I had a rough hair wash, with no head massage - which is the best bit. Plus no offer of a hand massage, and a small cup of coffee, no biscuit.

I will be back but not to go to Lulu again, I am not sure she understood what I wanted even though I showed her a picture. I wanted a shaggy type bob but I got a very short style, which although nice is not what I asked for, and I really don't like my hair this short. Also every time I have left feedback I leave the same piece, the box for sitting waiting is the most uncomfortable piece of seating I have ever sat on. I have short legs so I either dangle them or perch on the wooden surround, not comfy at all.

Unfortunately I feel like Brothers has gone down hill a lot over the past 12 months. I think the salon is really shabby, I think the juniors who wash your hair aren't very thorough and often leave in colour, your hair is often washed in cold water because there's a problem with the boiler, and everything feels a bit rushed. I've decided to go one more time and if I remain disappointed, I plan to find another salon(which is kind of sad as I've been going to Brothers for 14 years). Having your hair cut/coloured should feel like a treat and I usually find it leaves me feeling frustrated and on edge!
