My facial was provided by Ruby Mae today who was very pleasant but timid. On this occasion my treatment wasn't the best partly because Ruby was so hesitant but also because I got really cold during the treatment. (Hence the environment score above.) Right at the start Ruby did ask if I needed a blanket and initially I thought not but later took up the offer and she provided a blanket straight away (thank you). The treatment wasn't great because several times during the treatment Ruby stopped doing anything as if she was needing to think what she needed to do next. She was great at applying creams, but then when removing them, occasionally she used only one hand at a time, cleansing one side of my face then the other, and also sometimes using a dabbing action rather than a sweeping wipe. None of this is a particularly big deal except that as a treatment where I had asked she prioritise relaxation, it really wasn't all that relaxing. Students often give a neck back and arm treatment while the face mask is on, this bit of the treatment was very half hearted. Ruby did say she hadn't done many facials and I'm sure she'll improve with more practice. (The above information is intended as feedback for tutors, what follows is for Ruby). Pls let Ruby know she needs to have a firmer touch, clients will say if students are too firm, also please let her know that the hot towel treatment was lovely but if she wanted to make the rinsing water a bit warmer (when removing creams) I wouldn't complain! ;) Thank you - I'll see you again.
