The lower scores are purely due to the water issues - whilst I know the boiler had broken and was waiting to be fixed, there has been a problem with hot/cold running water ever since I've been coming to Aveda.

I always enjoy coming here because of its relaxed atmosphere and the customer service I receive. The hairdresser I had this time, Laura, was amazing. Really attentive, easy to talk to and definitely knew what she was doing. I could have been a bit better if there were a couple things though: - It was a little rushed - The lady who washed my hair wasnt very communicative about where I could keep my belongings or which chair i needed to sit in. It made it a little awkward. - They no longer seem to do a light shoulder massage as part of the experience. This was really disappointing as I always look forward to feeling super relaxed here.

Usually great, but a real let down last time. Left waiting for ages. Nobody indicated they were running late. When I asked I was moved to another room, but still no information. Experience only retrieved by my stylist taking matters into her own hands.

I asked for a haircut however my hair was butchered. It is so much shorter than I asked for, and I was incredibly disappointed by the lack of knowledge of curly hair. My hair is a train wreck, lots of different lengths (though you would expect a little variation in length with curly hair, I'm talking a good inch; I've had to cut it myself at home) and I'll have to wait for it to grow back before I can feel confident about it again. I asked for shoulder length but it's almost a bob at the back. Ben cut my hair as if it was straight hair, thus the varying lengths. The product advice was decent, the cut very very poor. I feel very sad about this. I would normally go to Birmingham to get my hair cut at Strand and Lock where they cut the curls. I will never go anywhere else now, and highly recommend Danny's expertise there. What a horrible experience.

The salon had a lovely feel upon entering, it was the first time I'd been and was really looking forward to having my hair done but I can't help but feel disappointed from the experience. The people I interacted didn't seem too happy and didn't make an effort to talk to me. I've also come away feeling that I didn't get the haircut I wanted with not much time spent cutting my hai. They also didnt straighten my hair after blowdrying, despite asking for this.It was the end of a busy day so it may have been a one off experience but I'm sad to say I won't be returning due to the experience not matching the cost.
