This was my first visit since the refurbishment. I was given a voucher for a treatment with my 21 yr old daughter. We opted for a massage. There nobody to greet us on arrival and we sat for around 5 minutes before we saw anyone. My therapist then came and took me through to the treatment room. I was a little disappointed when we went into the room as I immediately saw that the room was quite light as there was a window with shutters that let quite a lot of light through even though closed. This is a big factor for me when choosing where to go for a massage. Later I when speaking to my therapist she explained there were a couple of rooms that were darker which I could ask for in the future. I’m glad as I wouldn’t go back if that wasn’t an option. The treatment was good, I asked for a firm massage which I definitely had, it wasn’t a relaxing massage but I needed the firm approach I asked for. The refurbishment is very lovely but the experience lacked something, maybe I didn’t feel pampered as I have often felt at a spa. I would like to try a different room and a more relaxing massage, I may feel different then.

The new treatment room was not well heated, furnished or lit unfortunately which did take away from the experience.

My first visit some weeks ago was with Hannah. I am a runner and also hold stress and tension in my neck and shoulders so like a firm massage. Hannah was first rate. The next day I felt wonderful and all 'locked up' places were free. Today (28th) was less satisfactory. Having explained to the different therapist "I like it quite firm" she started off in an indifferent way but asked me if the firmness level was okay as she was working around my shoulder blades with her elbows - at that point the pressure was ideal. However, overall I felt the treatment was rather perfunctory - as if the therapist was going through the motions rather than actually being attentive. I know it was 6pm when we started so it might have been a long day but it was not really a "deep tissue" experience. Crudely speaking I like a 7.5/8 level of firmness and this was 6 at best! I found myself getting tense as my degree of dissatisfaction rose. I was mostly disappointed at myself for not expressing I preferred it firmer. But, as I explained to Hannah on the desk afterwards, as a 'bloke' who still (after many years) feels a little awkward about massages I find it a little creepy to keep asking for the massage to be 'firmer'. I know this is my 'stuff' and the therapist was probably doing her best but you have invited feedback and I had already committed myself to letting you know how I felt. I wouldn't want to give up on The Treatment Loft without expressing my dissatisfaction and providing another opportunity to rectify. My wife had a massage at the same time with Jackie and rates her experience as 'excellent'.

Always courteous and lovely whenever I come. I love the tranquil environment and friendly staff and the treatments are always perfect. I have found that occasionally I have recieved a shorter massage time than I paid for which was a little disappointing. Overall I usually love attending the treatment loft as it is a little oasis of calm in my busy day !!!!

Lovely surroundings, and profession and friendly welcome. The booking did take a long while as my emails weren’t replied to promptly and I was trying to arrange multiple appointments while we were staying in a hotel Locally, so a bit frustrating. The others in the party rated their treatments highly and really enjoyed them; however, I felt my Indian head massage wasn’t really as I would imagine one to be. I’ll be able to tell you after I have been to India on holiday in January, but half of the massage was centred on décolleté, arms and upper back, which I didn’t really enjoy. The head massage was Ok but I didn’t feel much relaxation afterwards and it felt a but random without a holistic rhythm. It wasn’t awful but I wouldn’t repeat, however I would return to the salon for other treatments as I liked it very much.
