My first visit some weeks ago was with Hannah. I am a runner and also hold stress and tension in my neck and shoulders so like a firm massage. Hannah was first rate. The next day I felt wonderful and all 'locked up' places were free. Today (28th) was less satisfactory. Having explained to the different therapist "I like it quite firm" she started off in an indifferent way but asked me if the firmness level was okay as she was working around my shoulder blades with her elbows - at that point the pressure was ideal. However, overall I felt the treatment was rather perfunctory - as if the therapist was going through the motions rather than actually being attentive. I know it was 6pm when we started so it might have been a long day but it was not really a "deep tissue" experience. Crudely speaking I like a 7.5/8 level of firmness and this was 6 at best! I found myself getting tense as my degree of dissatisfaction rose. I was mostly disappointed at myself for not expressing I preferred it firmer. But, as I explained to Hannah on the desk afterwards, as a 'bloke' who still (after many years) feels a little awkward about massages I find it a little creepy to keep asking for the massage to be 'firmer'. I know this is my 'stuff' and the therapist was probably doing her best but you have invited feedback and I had already committed myself to letting you know how I felt. I wouldn't want to give up on The Treatment Loft without expressing my dissatisfaction and providing another opportunity to rectify. My wife had a massage at the same time with Jackie and rates her experience as 'excellent'.

My experiences with The Treatment Loft/Wellness Spa have always been exemplary. To have our session cancelled today was a huge disappointment. We both felt we received little to no help to resolve the issue, and our disappointment was met with general apathy by the receptionist. Luckily, you had another cancellation and we got to have half our treatments, albeit not at the same time. Unfortunately, this general poor customer service continued when we arrived. The same lady I had spoken to this morning also served us. She was extremely cold, and any enquiry felt like an effort to respond to on her part. Worse than that, we observed this behaviour between the receptionist and other customers, both face to face and on the phone. And we observed the customers become also visibly irritated by the attitude. It was further disappointing to eventually be taken into our appointments to find that the music wasn’t working properly. While this was resolved partially, it was a surprising lack of quality. Furthermore, personally, half way through my appointment, the door was opened and someone entered my room. This really goes above and beyond disappointment; it’s appalling. I could have been in any state of undress and having any procedure done. It was an assault on my privacy. Whether or not it was an employee or customer is irrelevant. My therapist did apologise, but adding all of these disappointments together… it wasn’t an entirely positive experience. I would like to just say that my therapist was warm, kind, communicative, open and extremely friendly, which was lovely, and I have no complaints at all with regards her or the facial I had. I just wish all of my experience with your establishment had been that positive.
