Claire was incredibly knowledgeable about L’Oréal color and made me feel very relaxed, welcome and involved in the process of deciding on what L’Oréal hair tint and colour to choose. The whole team were also very welcoming and the atmosphere in the salon from the staff was very friendly and professional. I booked a trainee hairdry for after my colour which cost £25. Although the trainee was really sweet a d friendly her blow dry and finishing skills were not great. She dried my hair on a medium heat which I have never experienced in a salon before; maybe a cool heat at the end of styling to set the blow-dry, but high hit is always used to seal the style and get the cuticle really flat and smooth. I had to ask her to increase the heat. I also asked for straighteners after the blow-dry to hold the style for longer. Neither the blow dry or straighteners were used well and when I left the salon my roots were still damp a d my hair was not sleek and smooth at all, I feel that Claire or another hairdresser should be keeping an eye on the trainee to make sure that the clients finish and end product is of a high standard. I think it’s a real shame that a reasonable price isn’t charged for a blow/dry after a colour service. A standard lower cost than a usual blow-dry as the client is already paying top-end for the colour device, plus Opalex if they choose this a d gloss too. Also, it would be lovely for the client/hairdresser relationship to have the colourist complete the blow-dry after a colour service for a reasonable and affordable price. I can’t afford - £69 blow dry per month on top on having my hair tinted.
