The stylist who did my hair is wonderful but the lady who did the shampooing was too aggressive, a lot of tugging, I felt like my hair was getting caught on something which I think was a ring she had on. I didn’t enjoy the shampooing at all and just wanted it to be over. I’ve had 3 bad experiences at this salon. One where I had a terrible haircut (I wouldn’t return to that stylist again), the second was a trim done by one of the newer girls (which took nearly 1 hour and it looked like she didn’t know what she was doing). Then there is this time with the painful shampooing. It’s a friendly salon overall and the shampooing is a learning curve for the newer staff. I’m happy with my stylist and would return but only to the staff members I trust.

I've been with Jess for over a year now and can't recommend her enough. She's been really helpful with advice on my hair and the best products to use. I've always coming away feeling glamorous!

Everything to do with my hair was, as always, fab. The only thing I would say though, is that I think the tea making approach could be approved. I can only assume my cup of tea had the tea bag beside the cup when it was made - it was so weak it wasn’t really drinkable. Perhaps bags could be left in, so customers can allow brewing to suit their taste. Or alternatively, if leaving a bag in doesn’t feel aesthetic, maybe doing the tea in little pots, which would look nicer and still allow customers to brew the tea to their taste. Failing that, maybe a bit of training for the younger staff who probably aren’t, in fairness, tea drinkers, on what a cup of tea actually is.

Colour is great. Shampoo and condition is just a nightmare. Painful, tugging and pulling. Enough for me to want to go to another salon now. Really disappointing. That last two occasions of shampoo, I have had water splashed on my face and eyes as well as the most painful shampoo experience I’ve ever had. This is the second time with the same person. I can’t fault the colour services though, that part is great but paying £70 to have my hair pulled is just not worth it. I have come back home twice nice with sore roots. This has only happened with one junior, all the others have been great at shampooing and conditioning but I wouldn’t want to risk it again… I’’m certain she breaks a lot of hair in the shampooing and combing process. The management really need to do something about this. Nobody’s hair deserves this much aggression.
