About Us
Options has been at the heart of Rothwell village since 1986, ten minutes from both Leeds and Wakefield city centres. Nearly forty years on, the salon still runs on the same principles it started with: listen first, advise honestly, and send everyone out with hair they are genuinely pleased with.
Colour is what we are best known for. Our colourists take on balayage, colour correction, highlights, full-head colour and grey blending, working with Kérastase and L’Oréal Professionnel. If you are thinking about a change, or putting right a colour that has not gone to plan, we will talk it through with you first and tell you honestly what is achievable.
Alongside colour we offer cutting and styling, gents barbering and hair extensions. Our team ranges from longstanding senior stylists to recently qualified graduates, so there is a price and a level of experience to suit whatever you are after.
Booking a colour appointment
New colour clients need a skin test before their first appointment. Call us on 0113 282 1453 and we will book you a free colour consultation with one of our stylists, which takes a few minutes and means we can get straight on with your colour on the day of your appointment.
Finding us
We are located in Commercial Street, next door to the Post Office and directly opposite the main entrance to Morrisons supermarket, where there is upto 3 hours of free parking. Leeds City Council’s Marsh Street car park is at the rear of our building, with parking bays always available and the first hour is free (you can extend your parking if you need it, from your chair in the salon, using their parking app).
We are Open Monday to Saturday, with late appointments on Tuesday and Thursday until 7.30pm.

I visited the salon on 7/6/25 for my pre holiday appointment I was greeted as soon as I entered and offered a seat and a drink. Ella looked after my colour which we discussed as I had changed it slightly from my last visit she is really friendly easy to talk to and remembers so much considering how many clients she must see, she put my colour on carefully and gave me a relaxing head massage which was lovely. Pauline then cut and styled my hair again she is really friendly and welcoming she gave me lots of advice on products for my holiday which I purchased. Pauline has got to know my hair quickly it’s in the best condition it’s ever been in and the style is fantastic I’m so happy with it she does a really good job. The vibe in the salon is relaxing I enjoy getting my hair done here thanks to you all.
