I always had the impression that hairdressers dreaded it when I walked into their salon ‘as the one with the frizzy/curly hair’ I never felt comfortable and left with confidence. I always went home and washed and styled my hair myself which I found frustrating especially after spending over £100. For the last 18 months I have been following Nuala Morey on social media and like many others I am truly amazed with her final results. The colours and the curls. My dream was to visit her salon and have her style my hair. I saved up and eventually plucked up the courage to take the plunge! I travelled from Stirling to Edinburgh by car, took a flight to Bristol, stayed overnight and visited the salon the next morning for my appointment with Nuala. As soon as I walked into the salon I felt at ease. I was greeted with a friendly face at reception and as I looked around, I was delighted to see all the staff working with curly hair! Nuala spoke with confidence and knowledge and from then on, I knew I was in safe hands. I knew straight away that I would be leaving her salon with a feeling I had been longing to experience for years. She explained everything from beginning to end. Starting with the condition of my hair and what I could do to improve it. Advising on how to select the correct colour for my skin tone and then onto the styling and what products to use and how to use them. I have been using the products advised by Nuala for approx. 3 weeks now and I cannot believe the difference in my hair. I am so glad I made the decision to visit her salon I only wish it was in Scotland! Anyone with curly/frizzy hair who is looking for professional treatment and advice .... don’t delay, get that appointment booked, you will not be disappointed.

Had a great colour and cut with Thomasina. I was also given great advice on how to look after my hair and create a similar style at home.

I was the only customer on the day I attended which meant the salon lacked any atmosphere. On previous visits I was given a shoulder massage which I was looking forward to but wasn’t offered this time. My stylist was lovely and haircut and dry was fab as usual. It’s expensive so the little extras are important if you’re spending more than you would elsewhere. It’s not just about the haircut but the whole experience.

Love coming here to see Kelsey, she understands my quirky curls and the recent cut and colour is just scrumptious, always leave feeling fabulous and the guidance to look after my curls is golden. The 5 + hour round trip, is worth it 🥰

Our stylist was outstanding, she did both my hair and my mothers and we both came out loving how she had restyled our curls with a shorter cut which made the most of colour and curls. Less impressive is the rather tired state of the salon now, including a faulty coffee machine. The admin and support is less than optimal. Callbacks if you leave a message may happen or may not, and personally I don't think a senior stylist should be left to wash hair, cut, take payment and clear up a salon on a late evenings bookings, so it feels like a little more investment around the main stylist would be a good idea.
