I was left waiting for an hour without being told this would be the case before my hair was cut. I wish I was at least been prewarned or told on arrival. The hair cut itself was lush, the girl who did it was lovely etc but the waiting time was unacceptable. I understand these things happen but no warning or communication made it a whole lot worse... I paid full price as I understand it is no ones fault when these things happen and I didn't want anyone to lose out on their wages..but please just communicate when these problems occur so I don't have to leave work early/could run errands in the hour delay.

I am really happy with the cut and think this is the best cut and blow dry that I have since using the salon. However today was the first time I have had my hair coloured. I don’t feel this was an excellent experience and having followed the instagram account and watched others in the salon I don’t feel I had the same treatment and not overly happy with the end result. The consultation was short, I have watched people have colour examples shown to them so they know what to expect this did not happen. The process was not explained as it is when I have been for previous cuts. I appreciate that I should have used my voice more but when you have not been through this experience you trust and expect the professional to guide you a little more. I feel a little flat in regards to the colour as it’s quite contrasting against my original colour. I will continue to use the salon because in terms of products, cut and knowledge it’s excellent but I feel a little deflated by the colour which I’m hoping will improve. I feel the amount that it costs I should love it and right now I don’t and feel a little disappointed.

Everything was just okay but definitely not worth the high price tag. I personally didn’t find it a very warm, welcoming atmosphere and although my hairdresser was perfectly nice and polite, I didn’t feel like she went above and beyond and it almost felt abit scripted/forced when she did talk, only talking me through things when she needed too. It’s a shame as I had been so excited about my first curly cut and had come in ready to ask lots of questions, have a curly hair chat, buy some new products etc but left feeling slightly deflated and felt like I had definitely overpaid for the service provided.

£75 for a box standard 35 min appointment. 10 mins curl cutting time, 5 minutes condition leave in time and the rest dry the hair. It is my 3rd visit but this was my most disappointing and by far the quickest appointment I’ve ever had in my 46 year life.

This was my second time visiting Nuala Morey. The first time was wonderful, I was so pleased to have found a hairdressers that could properly manage my curly hair, which was coloured beautifully and left feeling so so soft with great curls all round. I was therefore so excited to return. Sadly I was 5 minutes late so didn’t get the usual massage at the start. No bother! I had a new stylist this time who made up a colour which was then applied for a long time while she cut someone else’s hair. It was also all over my forehead which later left a mark. My hair was washed with cold water which she sprayed all down the back of my neck getting my clothes soaked, which was unpleasant and stayed wet all day. Not nice in cold winter! After the wash, my hair was styled by the apprentice. She applied loads of product so my hair was slick with gel. Because of this it took ages to dry and then did not curl at all. She seemed confused and I explained this to her and the other stylist who came to help. My hair felt so thick and awful with product, and looked terrible! To their credit, they rewashed me. Again with cold water. This time it was very rushed and it didn’t feel nice. When they styled it this time, by way of compensating from before they didn’t use much product, and tried to curl hair that was so dry the hairbrush was sticking through it. Again, my hair did not look good, and to make matters worse the stylish dragged her fingers through my dried hair, pulling out curls and just making it frizzy! It was not soft and smooth at all. She then tried to say that it was my curl type that was the issue, suggesting they were already straight (this is true for only one tiny section of my hair). I’m so disappointed to say my hair looked better when I came in than when I left. I was so upset my sister came to meet me with a hairband to tie it up. What a waste of money and 3.5 hours!! I won’t be back and this is a place I will no longer recommend to others. Hopefully your stylists can learn that not all curls should be handled the same!
