I did not get a head massage as advertised. I specifically asked for my hair not to be flat on top and that I liked some height. It was pancake flat. I also asked for short bits around my face. Not done. The curling and drying was good but a lot of water ran down my back and front.

The salon is lovely. It was my first visit and I was given some good advise on how to style my curly hair. I mentioned to the girl that I sometimes wear my hair straight or wavey, but it's been cut in a way that will only allow me to wear it curly with uneven layers. I'm pretty disappointed as it was en expensive cut.

I arrived 5 minutes early for my appointment and then waited 45 minutes past my appointment time before being shown to a chair. A few minutes into my cut my stylist had to leave me for another 10 minutes while she finished cutting another client’s hair. I was happy with the cut itself and the end result. I didn’t feel like I was given any advice about how to care for and style my hair - I noticed this information was being given freely to other clients. I did try to ask near the end but as three people had attended to my hair it wasn’t easy to find out what was recommended. I drove over an hour to get to the salon so had high hopes but sadly probably wouldn’t go back.

I am new to curly hair and was expecting to be taught about curly hair and how to manage it and look after it. This didn’t happen. My stylist was lovely but seemed distracted and didn’t really talk me through anything. I felt uncomfortable with not really knowing what was going on and so my sister kept asking the stylist questions and asked her to explain everything to me and she just wasn’t forthcoming. I was not offered a massage and did not receive a massage during conditioning which my sister pointed out. Overall it was a very average experience and definitely not worth the luxury price tag.
