My stylist - I believe her name was Aly, I’m not sure - did a wonderful job with my cut. It is shorter than what I expected but I went in prepared for that in order to get some shape and health back into my hair. I also really like the colour, it isn’t exactly what I asked for which is only slightly disappointing because no bleach was used and I’m very thankful for that. I was explained that to avoid bleach it may need some time to be added onto which I’m totally prepared to do. My blow dry I was less happy with and it had me leaving the salon with all types of freak out emotions. Not everyone has the same curly pattern and wants perfect looking curls, I personally like my hair a little more wild, free and natural. I feel my hair was manipulated to look a certain way and I left feeling like Shirley Temple rather than with luscious bouncing curls. It was only until I managed to wet the curls and re-dry them that I was able to see what a wonderful job “Aly” did of the cut and colour. I’m probably more aware of this because my job is customer facing in the service and entertainment industry, although no one was particularly unfriendly I do think the salon would benefit with a bit more attention on customer service and friendliness and awareness that some conversations aren’t appropriate in front of clients (I also think the conversation I’m referring to elongated the time that I was in the salon in terms of my blow dry which took a very long time and I sat with olaplex on my head for almost 25 minutes rather than 10). This is meant completely constructively and simply because I know how useful the feedback is for my company.

I liked my haircut but probably won't go back to the salon. The online booking system let me pick a day and time that turned out to be unavailable as the hairdresser I'd booked didn't work then, so unsure why I could book this online. I had a phone call from the receptionist the day before and was able to re-arrange that day to see her, however when I arrived I was booked in with a different person and a different pay grade to what I'd selected with no explanation or apology. Had to wait 20 mins for appointment to start, was offered a complimentary drink but no soft drinks available so had tap water. It was mid afternoon but the salon appeared dusty with lots of hair everywhere so didn't want to put my bag on the floor but no where else to leave it. Hairdresser was proficient and good at their job, but when I asked questions about the products they were using I felt they were a bit dismissive in their answers and that my questions were stupid ones but I'd said I didn't know much and was keen to learn. Left happy with the haircut but disappointed by the experience as I'd heard such good things about the salon, but unlikely to go back.

The hair cut was good and my hairdresser knew what would suit me. However, the hairdresser kept on going on about the colour build up in my hair which I was aware of anyway and had been sorting out for around a year. It would have been fine if she'd mentioned it just once or twice but she went on about it for the whole hair cut which was around 30 minutes. Going to the hairdresser is normally relaxing but I just left feeling annoyed. Also at the beginning I was offered a drink and I'd asked for a water. However they must have forgot as I didn't see any water appear for the whole time I was there. It's not as if a glass of tap water is that hard to prepare. Overall they are good at doing hair but I just felt like I was ignored a bit and left in quite a negative mood so I do not think I will be returning.

I understand that you are busy, but I was sat in a chair for 1/2 an hr with no explanation, waiting for my appointment to start. This happened last time I was with you too, before the lock down. I also feel that your prices are very high. I am pleased with the results, but I could not afford to come to you frequently.

My experience on the day with Georgie was great but I very nearly didn't come at all as when first enquiring (in person), I found the reception very unwelcoming. I was treated with disinterest and it wasn't very informative. The only reason I persevered was the many positive comments i'd received from formerly happy people. I'm glad I did because the hairstylist on the day was good and as I did feel that they understood curly hair. I would come again for that and hope that my experience was perhaps an off day.
