I had a wonderful experience at NM. I was booked with a different stylist, but in the end the Curl Queen cut & styled my hair - how lucky was that ! Turns out, all the things that I had been doing to improve my curls were not right! I now know the right way. Nuala was training a junior member of staff, so it was great to see that happening and I am sure it helped me pick up more detail and top tips. My cut & finish were great and my curls gorgeous. I am not sure I am committed to the time it would take, but I know how to do it for a special occasion :) I was a little taken back that coffee/tea had to be purchased, but I understand why and it was good to have the option of a proper coffee. It is just something I had not seen before. x

Have been several times in the past and had good experience but feels like there's been a massive shift. Never get to see the same stylist twice because the turnover is so fast, things that made it a luxury experience before have gone: used to be offered a herbal tea on arrival, head and neck massage to start, coffee throughout the appointment. Now because of the coffee van outside you have to pay for a tea or coffee whilst you're there for such a long time. Don't think any other salon I've ever visited has charged for a cup of tea! All the staff seemed stressed and miserable (previously have had lovely stylist but the nice ones seem to leave quickly), my hair cut felt incredibly rushed and impersonal, my haircut was ok but nothing to be buzzing about. Not worth the hype anymore.

Kelsey always cuts my hair beautifully and takes time to talk through colouring options. She is brilliant and really understands my mixed wavy/curly hair. I wouldn't use anyone else.

I’ve struggled for years to find a hairdresser who truly understands curly hair, and Nuala is fantastic. She took her time to talk through what I wanted. The cut was incredible — my curls have never looked this defined, healthy, and balanced. They knew exactly how to shape and style curly hair without removing too much weight or causing frizz. I also appreciated all the helpful advice on products and maintenance without feeling pressured to buy anything. Highly recommend to anyone with curly hair looking for a stylist they can trust!

I was anxious about having my daughter’s hair done as she has textured hair with different curl patterns. However I was reassured by Kelseys knowledge and skills. She was amazing! She was so patient with my daughter and took the time to answer all my questions about her specific curl pattern, methods and products used. She gave us great advice on which products to use and how to best use them to style and care for my daughter’s hair at home to keep it healthy and tamed. My daughter was very pleased with her hair which looks great! Thanks to Kelsey we now have a plan for her hair and look forward to retuning. Thank you
