It was established over 50 years ago by Mr Philip McCarthy and is now owned by his protege Mrs Michelle England since 2015.  The salon offers all aspects of hairdressing with cutting and creative colouring it's best asset.The brands Schwartzkopf and Ghd are used in the salon and recommended for home use by the company .

After a long four months I was so pleased to be back in McCarthys with Michelle and Taya looking after me. I felt very comfortable with everything that Michelle had put in place regarding the safety of clients..........Sanitizer was available everywhere/visors and aprons were worn by all the staff. As usual I was extremely happy with my cut and highlights. Welcome back Michelle and team, you’ve been missed. Stay safe x

Fantastic service as always. Michelle and her team have done everything possible to ensure clients safety, as we move out of lock-down. It is so nice to get back to the colour I like and the cut is amazing. I would recommend to anyone.

Every effort has been made to make our return to the hairdressers as safe and comfortable an environment as possible. Another fabulous haircut and colour by Michelle. Grey, what grey! Nothing lifts your spirits more than a visit to Mccarthy's.
