The Lady I saw on my last visit to Macadamia Hair spa was very friendly and had good customer service skills. I usually only book with a master specialist, I don’t think whome I saw was a master specialist. I showed a photo and tried to describe what I wanted but it didn’t translate into the cut and style I received. The cut is neat and fine for the most part but I noticed it is a lot shorter than I intended it to be and the is a lot more effort put into styling when going to an alternate salon. I have decided to book my next few appointments with a different salon. I seem to get closer to the photo of any styles I provide and when discussing with my stylist they seem to grasp the correct length. I actually stated number 4 for my sides as I wanted more length and body to them. However the sides of my hair are really quite short.

I REVISITED THE SALON AGAIN YESTERDAY AS I DIDN'T THINK THE FIRST ROOT COLOUR HAD COVERED MY ROOTS PROPERLY. THE STAFF KINDLY OFFERED TO DO IT AGAIN. I HAD SAID THAT I STILL MAINLY WANTED TO STAY BLONDE. THE COLOUR THAT WAS ADVISED UNFORTUNATELY WAS A STEP TOO FAR AS IT TURNED OUT TO BE TOO DARK AT THE ROOTS AND HAS MADE IT LOOK BRASSY THIS ALSO ALTERED THE REST OF MY HAIR COLOUR . AS IT WAS APPLIED STARTED TO FEEL VERY HOT AND FELT LIKE IT WAS BURNING MY SCALP. THE SALON WAS VERY BUSY AT THE TIME I DID ASK A STAFF MEMBER TO REMOVE THE HOT ELECTRIC HEATER AS THIS WAS MAKING IT MORE UNCOMFORTABLE IT WAS REMOVED. THE END RESULT OF THE COLOUR CHOSEN WASN’T WHAT I WAS EXPECTING. I FELT THE NEED TO WRITE THIS SURVEY THIS WOULDN’T STOP ME FROM RETURNING AS I FELT EVERYONE ONE WAS REALLY FRIENDLY AND WELCOMING. Lovely relaxing massage, disappointed to have paid for 35 minutes massage only to have received 24 minutes in total for the massage.

Sadly my hairdresser had been changed without my knowledge and the replacement, who was good, was unable to do what I wanted so he put me with the junior. The outcome was O.K but disappointing, as I had made the appointment far in advance. Also the replacment hairdresser was far from ready for my appointment time. No explanation was given. I'm going again on Friday so hopefully this was just a one off mistake.

Fantastic cut and very quick service. Just felt a little rushed towards the end and no drink offered!! But a firm favourite place to go!
