Comment
• I appreciated the warm welcome from the receptionist and the overall atmosphere of the salon. • However, my stylist did not seem knowledgeable on working with mixed‑texture 3A/3C hair and used washing, brushing and blow‑drying techniques that caused frizz, damage, discomfort and matting. • Communication felt dismissive at times, and I felt pressured to chat even though I was clearly trying to focus on just explaining what I wanted and relaxing. • Some personal comments shared by the stylist felt inappropriate for a professional setting. • The cut was shorter and different from what I requested, and the blow‑dry technique did not suit my hair type until I directed the stylist step‑by‑step. • Other stylists in the salon appeared more attentive and attuned, and I would prefer to book with a director next time. • I was also charged an additional £6 without explanation. • Overall, the salon environment was good, but the service from my stylist did not meet expectations. • I don’t require a specialist salon for my hair type. I’ve had excellent blowouts and cuts in small, non‑specialist European salons for years. The issue here was not my hair type but the stylist’s lack of receptiveness and technique with mixed‑race hair, which should be standard training in a top‑rated central London salon.
