Dear Team, I’m writing regarding my appointment yesterday, when I came in to have my clip-in extensions cut. Before booking, I called to check the likely cost, as I had previously been quoted £110 at Toni and Guy. I was told on the phone that it “wouldn’t be that much”, although I understood that the final price would depend on the number of extensions and would be confirmed at the time. When I came to pay after my appointment, I was surprised to be told the total was £135, particularly as I had only had a dry cut, with no wash or blow-dry included. I queried the price at the time and was given a 20% discount, which I appreciated. However, I still feel the final amount I paid was quite high given the service I received and the expectation I had based on the phone conversation beforehand. I understand that cutting clip-in extensions may be a relatively new service for the salon and there was some confusion about how much to charge. I also noticed that the amount I was charged is the same as the price of a cut and blow-dry, which I feel is difficult to understand given that I only had a dry cut of my clip-in extensions and did not receive a wash or blow-dry. I wanted to raise this as I feel there was a misunderstanding regarding the pricing, and I would have appreciated a clearer indication of the likely cost before the service was carried out.
