Paid £35 for a gel manicure. However, the finish is not as good as I was expecting. My usual salon only charges £25 for gels and the finish is superb. I used Cove as it was the only salon open when I needed a manicure doing ASAP.

Had a builder doing work right out side the window during the massage and was using a sander on the window which was extremely loud and unenjoyable. The massage was very light even tho I put on the form that I prefer it to be firm for a deep tissue massage and found the blanket was a bit ichy and damp. But the staff were nice and friendly.

Unfortunately I would not recommend the Cove for nail treatments. I had gel removal followed by a french manicure, which took 1h30 and both services were poor. The lady who looked after me was absolutely lovely but the removal of the gel didn’t work completely, so colour was still visible, and there were ridges left on my nails from the previous gel treatment which I’d expect to be smoothed by a manicure. Unfortunately they only used one coat of polish for the french manicure so the pinky layer wasn’t visible and you could see through to the old gel I had paid to have removed. I thought there would be at least two coats to try to cover it up. The manicure aspect was also poor, my cuticles did not look any better after unfortunately. A couple of days later I went in to tell the receptionist I had a bad experience and didn’t want to leave a bad review, to give them a chance to apologise for the poor serve and re-do it but I was told she had to contact her area manager and would call me up later, which she didn’t. She had even taken photos to prove the poor service to her area manager, strange.

As I was the last client of the day before the 8pm close, I felt that the experience was rushed- it certainly wasn’t worth £55 and wasn’t any more luxurious than a normal pedicure. The pedicure bowls weren’t working, so I had to put my feel in a bucket! It proved to be very uncomfortable. The therapist did apologise for this and was attentive.
