Founded in 2006, we are associated with quality and professionalism. Chic is proud to say we have an overwhelming amount of loyal clients who have been with us since the day we first opened.


At Chic we feel it is important to get the consultation 'right' it is very easy to, miss read what the client really means, thats why we offer FREE consultations, to give you a taster of what we really have to offer, and give you the confidence that we truly understand you and your hair needs.


Chic believes that communication is the key, making you feel relaxed to talk about what you want from your style, which can help us transform you, making you feel more confident and beautiful.


We advise you on after care, reguarding shampoos, conditioners and styling products, we will show you how to apply them and how best to style your hair, so you can recreate your look at home.


Since opening Chic we have won best salon award in Skipton through the Craven Herald. Our salon consists of our Founder/Owner Claire Marsden-Dyson, salon director's Gemma Spencer and Kate Spence and our Senior Stylist Lauren Kirby.

Today has been my first appointment since March when the Covid pandemic began. I have SO impressed by the communication and guidance from the salon during it's enforced closure...very very professional and helpful, and the salon itself, and staff, today continued at that level. I knew what to expect due to the regular updates so wasn't have to ask lots of questions. As ever, the salon was spotlessly clean, and now has the addition of a very good quantity of sanitisers and plastic disposable gowns. The girls all wear visors and use the sanitizer regularly. Great atmosphere as usual, beautiful surroundings, friendly,expert and helpful stylist Chloe, means I now feel fab! Great hair, great place. Appointments booked going ahead .... The salon has exceeded excellent....thank you.

Really reassuring. Hand sanitizer everywhere, well cleaned, door wide open. Fantastic! I was quite nervous but loved it!

As always Gemma did a brilliant job and I feel fantastic; in addition, the team at Chic are clearly working very hard to ensure we all feel safe in a post-covid world and I can honestly say that despite the measures they are legally obliged to put in place, it still felt like the friendly, welcoming and comfortable place I love - this is down to the people, and all credit to them for working like crazy to keep on top of appointments and manage this situation, ensuring we feel valued. I for one would not go anywhere else and am very grateful to have such an amazing hairdresser in Gemma.
