A trip to Blakes hairdressers is always a treat. Having long serving staff means that actually when you do sit in the chair you don't get asked the dreaded ' are you going away this year?' etc and that's because they actually know you, the good with the bad and that goes the other way too. The clients are excited to share the teams highs and support them in their low points too. I took my two young boys there to get spruced up for a wedding and they absolutely loved it. They felt so pampered that they mithered me to go in every time we passed for weeks! But no matter the age of the client, everyone feels pampered and good about themselves when they leave. I only wish I could justify going more often! The girls always take part in local events and fundraisers. For last years carnival the shop was dressed up like swizzles with love hearts and sweets in the windows and the team dressed up in their overalls and hairnets whilst working in their busy day. New mills wouldn't be the same without the fun loving girls in Blakes!
