As a repeat customer of Jersey Street Social Club since its launch, I make the effort and long journey into Manchester to get a well executed haircut and beard trim, as the years pas and my hairline retreats, it takes skill to not make me look like a mildly psychotic geography teacher from the early 80s. The skill and atmosphere in the barber shop has been consistent for years. The no nonsense attention to detail, and absolutely no high sales pitch with each visit keeps me coming back, the friendships and comfort of conversation is an added bonus. Too often there are Barbers popping up in city and town that become a overtly aggressive and uncomfortable experience, with increasing price lists and underwhelming haircuts from unskilled posers, I shape my timetable to get to Manchester and a hair cut here over any of the dozens that have opened up in my region of England in recent months. Mike and the rest of the team have always been true to the demands on a service such as Barbering, as competition has grown as the city apartments loom large in this area of Manchester, since they opened their doors. If you want a great hair cut, a shave, a beard trim and / or a full restyle; without the fripperies of 8 types of coffees, nut milks, cocktails, mocktails and / or having your egos massaged, just a friendly and consistently good haircut - make the effort and seek them out.

It is not right for tips to be automatically requested when I’m already paying £30 for the haircut.

Quality shop with top staff. Really good, relaxed atmosphere and always a good chat with Inky Steve while he makes me look pretty again. Try it out, you wont be disappointed.

First time at Jersey Street social. Always scared about trying a new barbet but Tino did a great job! Knew exactly what to do to make my thining hair look its best. My new barbet from now on.
