This is the 2nd time now that when I get to my appointment I’m told that someone else will be cutting my hair even though when I booked I asked for the same person that always cut my hair

House of hair is always a nice place to get your haircut. They always offer a drink and take your coat for you. Today was no different but, unfortunately, getting my haircut took over an hour, about an hour and 10 minutes for a mens cut and finish to be exact! My hair wasn’t quite how I liked it so the hairdresser tried to correct it but only made it worse. The sides were uneven and I had bits sticking too. So in the end I paid and left then immediately phoned another hairdresser and made an appointment. The 2nd hairdresser thankfully was able to repair the damage, the back also wasn’t right apparently, and it cost me half the price! I personally wouldn’t go back to house of hair after this experience.

I am so upset with my hair. It makes me look old and I keep having to try to hold back the tears of how it is nothing what I asked. Too much taken off not cut back into the original style at all. Not coming back here again am so upset.

I went in with photos of a bob with sweeping curtain fringes - easily doable as my fringe was now past my nose, grown out for this sole purpose. I left with my fringe above my eyebrows - the exact opposite of what I wanted. I was so annoyed that after the boy tried to style it twice, I did it myself (only to find it wouldn't style even after 25yrs of me styling my own hair). I showed him several photos and have no idea why he went away from them, but after the first snip was done, all I could do was let him integrate it into my hair. I usually wear glasses and have short hair, so a "Velma" haircut was far from what I wanted. I also wasn't greeted when I walked in, nor was I offered a drink. I'm used to a high-quality salon in Kirkham that I've been going to for a long time, and can't get there now I'm permanently in Preston. I read the reviews and came to this salon because I thought it might be worth a short. What a mistake. I should have just continued doing my hair at home. I came in with photos of Nicole Richie and Jenna Coleman for style ideas (same face shape, same length - fringe and hair-wise) and left looking like when Monica Gellar got her hair cut by Phoebe! And I paid £37 for this service? If I could have given a price it was closer to £10. In fact, I know a woman that would've done my hair properly for £10 but I was skeptical as she wasn't part of a salon. I have left bad reviews wherever I can and have told my friends (many students, baristas, and other retail workers) about my experience and shown them my before-and-after hair. It was an absolute sham.
