I had my hair done here before and have been happy so decided to get my nails done here for the first time. When I got there for my appointment I had to sit and wait for a few minuets which is fine, but when the lady doing my nails called me over I didn’t feel like I had a warm welcome. She told me to sit down and asked me about what how I wanted my nails but she didn’t say much else. I understand she might have been concentrating on her work but she didn’t even say hello or how are you. This made me feel a bit uncomfortable so we sat in silence the whole time apart from when she wanted me to move my hands. Once my nails were finished she just got up and walked to the till without a word, it would have been nice if she asked me if I liked my nails or even a simple ok were done would have been better then she just took my money and that was it. I like my nails and think she did a good job but the lack of friendliness made me feel awkward and like an inconvenience so I will probably not be returning as I’ve had better customer service at other places in Daventry.

I was meant to have a wet cut. I was asked if I wanted it washed, but I said no. Usually just have water sprayed on it. my hair was cut dry. I was asked if I wanted a drink, I asked for water,I never got it. My cut was OK, but took about 15 minutes so really not worth £38 Hay's used to have a great atmosphere, it was dull and drab and the experience has me not wanting to come back.

My appointment was at 10.30 by 10.55 after no one acknowledging I was still sat there waiting I had to ask how long it was going to be as I had to get to a wedding. We eventually started half an hour late and that was after I had to spend time listening to another hairdresser going on and on about the coronavirus and her America trip being cancelled, she was loud enough for the whole salon to be party to the conversation. Not a relaxing experience at all. If they had just kept me informed on what was going on or just an apology for keeping me waiting then I wouldnt have left with such a bad taste from the experience.
