The spa was really nice and facilities were very clean. Both my husband and I had back massages with fully trained staff but our experiences were very different. Dans therapist was excellent and very professional. Whilst my therapist didn't introduce herself, she didn't check any medical notes or if I was allergic to anything. She only asked if I had any problems to which I said "I'm 13 weeks postnatal and I have a lot of tension in my back and a very week lower back" On my notes she just wrote pain. When she took me through she didn't explain what I needed to do - she just said lay down , face down head in hole. I didn't know if she wanted me to take my top off for the massage or not. I felt very awkward. Lastly my husbands treatment started 10-15min before mine yet we both finished at the same time So I'm not sure I got a full 30min? I cant say for definite as I wasn't wearing my watch. So I came away from my treatment a little disappointed especially when this was an anniversary treat and the the first time I'd done something for myself after the birth of my daughter. We did talk to reception about our concerns who said she would pass this onto the manager.
