The atmosphere was very relaxing and the massage was OK but not as deep as Ive had in other places and as I requested.'Deep' is a subjective [point I suppose. There was more focus on small of back which was pleasant but on my return homeI have had a few days of sciatic pain shooting down one leg. I have never had this condition ever. Probably a coincidence but............

I had a wonderful half spa day here that was purchased as a gift. I had a wonderful facial and used the gym facilities before having a relaxing sit down with a cup of herbal tea. However I left with rather a sour taste when upon leaving I was informed that the gift I had received was short £12. It turned out it had been bought with a discount coupon which they couldn’t be bothered to look up and instead tried to charge me. It was all sorted out in the end however I didn’t leave feeling relaxed,

Please don’t let masseurs with colds give massages - mine was sniffing and blowing her nose throughout. I now have a cold. She was perfectly pleasant and good at the work, but I could have done without the cold. If you’re in a small room in such close proximity for an hour the infection is difficult to avoid!

Our meal bill was not the price it was on the menu. We were given a calculator at reception & told to work our bill out ourselves, as we wanted to pay separately. Our back massage treatments were fantastic.

Couldn't fault my treatment or the consultant it was lovely, and staff pleasant just not very informative. But we weren't shown round the pool area or explained how things worked, the outside jacuzzi was full of leaves so we weren't sure if we should have ventured into it, also alcohol wasn't allowed.( would have just made the day special) I suggest a plastic glass and a limit to 2 drinks like other spas I have been to.
