Overall we really enjoyed our visit which included a half day spa. The treatment was excellent and pools were very relaxing. The staff were also very friendly. However, we felt there should be a dining area for lunch/complimentary snack in the Spa rather than having to lie down in the relaxation room or sit in the bar with dressing gowns/swimwear. The snacks provided for the half day spa were unfortunately not up to standard - the choice consisted of mostly cakes 3 of which were very dry. I would have preferred the option of a healthy snack, which would be more in-keeping.

I have been coming to the Salutation regularly since Heather became the hairdresser and will continue to do so. I have had other treatments and am always pleased with them. Funnily enough though I recently tried to contact the spa and although it states on the door that the hairdresser is available 9 am to 5 pm Tuesday to Saturday, I could not make contact. I therefore telephoned the hotel reception. Not good at all. It was as if the spa was nothing to do with the hotel. I was told to ring after 10 am. I was actually prepared to spend quite a bit of money that day as I wished to use the pool area, book a massage and have lunch. I went to Low Wood Bay instead and it was very nice. I was very unimpressed with the hotel reception.
