The 0 scores will speak for themselves of how unhappy and dissatisfied I was with my latest and last visit to Genesis hair salon. I had travelled several hundred miles to be there, they knew it was my last appointment leading up to my daughter's wedding and yet nobody had had the manners to inform me prior to my visit that my usual hairdresser was no longer available. Had I known I would have made alternative arrangements with another hairdresser who had only coloured my hair the previous day, and who could have easily cut it as well. Nobody apologised to me, the manager did not even come downstairs to speak to me and whilst an alternative hair stylist was engaged to do the cut I did not come out with the style that I had gone in with and wanted the same style but 3 inches shorter. Altogether a very unprofessional service and bottom rate customer service.

Salon greeting was good. Kept waiting for 20 minutes and felt when it was my turn it was rushed so she could catch up. I was there for 25 minutes max for cut and blow dry. I would have like advice for how to manage my hair but did not get any. I will add I did not request it. Hairdresser pleasant and smiley and very young. Did feel she hovered around when I was paying and felt she was expecting a tip which I always do but would have liked to have gone to find her.

After a slight muddle with the booking/texts received prior to appointment, my haircut and colour were both done to the usual high standard. Had Laura this time as both Kelly and Tracey had left. No colour notes on the system for some reason(?) despite having my hair done regularly for the past 6 years. Colour advice was very good. Unusually quiet in the salon today!

I highly recommend this hair salon. The staff are all friendly and welcoming and I always feel relaxed and in safe hands. I also get lots of compliments on my hair from friends and colleagues.
