This was my fourth visit to the salon for colour. The first two experiences were with a stylist who was excellent on all fronts, the next with a woman who was also fine. My most recent visit was for colour with a different stylist who was not very responsive or charming when I asked for advice when I first sat down and she asked what I wanted. She was very sloppy with the colour- I had marks half way down my forehead, on my earlobe and in my ears and on my neck that took days to fade even with some effort. She also didn’t apply the colour well, there is a line at my roots which isn’t normally there. She asked if I would like a gloss as well, and I asked her opinion. She recommended it without telling me that it would cost an extra £25. I only found this out when I came to pay and the receptionist expressed surprise that I hadn’t been informed of the cost. In every other salon I have visited, a toner is included in the price. The assistant who washed and dried my hair was lovely and although she didn’t tell me that I had dye marks on my face, ears and neck when I left the salon, she did try to remove some. It must have been too late to take effect, however- the stylist should have cleaned up straight away. I get my colour done at least once a month and have never been treated like this.

My hairdresser was quite brisk and impersonal. Everything felt rushed and rough. She was also distracted quite a few times with questions and comments from her colleagues. The salon is beautiful decorated and the chairs are comfy, but today it felt chaotic, tense and a little unorganised. Not what I would expect from a haircut and blow dry for £102 I have been before with a different hairdresser - who was very friendly and made me feel like I was her priority.

I purposefully booked an appointment with one member of staff but instead was seen by another with no explanation. No explanation was given until I asked. The appt started 20 mins late. The stylist who saw me, although the result was good, was not someone I’d choose due to an earlier disappointing appt a few years ago (she was rough and off hand, the opposite of gentle and caring, moody even). This time she was more agreeable but there was minimal discussion about what I wanted/expected and, as a result, I am much blonder than I’d hoped! Ah well, it will fade. The best - all too brief - part was the massage before the appt. Excellent - sorry I don’t know her name.

Love this salon and have been coming for years, just a bit disappointed that I wasn’t told I would be getting a proper blow dry with my colour. I’ve got quite thick difficult frizzy hair and it’s not easy for anyone to blow dry, I left the salon not feeling my best and had to style my hair myself when I got home. If I was told it didn’t include a blow dry I would have booked one
