Becky was really nice throughout the appointment. However i must say the service itself was not up to expectations. I have had lashes done many times before, always follow the aftercare guidance, and the lashes haven’t lasted long at all - they didn’t even make it in a decent state for +7 days. Lashes were not really stuck at the base of the natural lash which means some of them were droopy and could be seen against the white of my eye. On top of this there were gaps from the start. Quite unhappy with the service quality.

I had eyelash extensions and the therapist was very good. However, I was disappointed with the environment and the (lack of) welcome I received. Nanny June’s website emphasises that it is a warm and welcoming place inspired by the owner’s Nan’s kitchen. I didn’t feel that at all as I was bustled straight to the treatment chair which was in the middle of the salon with no privacy. Having eyelash extensions can be a vulnerable experience as your eyes are taped shut throughout so you can’t see anything and rely on a calm environment and a calm therapist. My therapist was gentle and calm but I felt very uncomfortable in the environment as staff and customers who obviously knew each other were shouting their news to each across the salon completely oblivious to the fact that I was having a treatment in the middle of it. My therapist also had to have ongoing conversations with another junior therapist who was asking her for advice and telling her what a bad day she was having - I felt invisible! I was happy with the end result of my treatment but certainly didn’t receive the ‘famous Nanny June welcome’ and wasn’t even offered a drink after my treatment. I did mention this to my therapist and she said I could stay and have one but looking at the group of staff and customers who all knew each other gathered around the bar/coffee area, it didn’t look or feel welcoming or inclusive. I hope this feedback is help and the owner takes it on board as I came away feeling quite unwelcome today - NOT the fault of my therapist - but the environment which I am sure is not what the owner intended when setting up the salon.

Background music too high initially Door to rear needs some WD40 - it squeaks every time a member of staff uses it. Yes, I'm noise sensitive !

Lashes were great as ever with Leanne Please allow tips on card payments. I want to too but rarely carry much cash! Pedicure a bit basic. It was essentially just a file and polish So probably wouldn’t return for that

Had an amazing time. Had my hair and makeup done for a party. Everyone was so nice and made me comfortable by doing in a private room downstairs.the lady who does tthe makeup is so good and friendly. Definitely will go again.

Always happy with the results - Leanne does great lashes But in summer months and bright days the comfort is compromised by the bright sunlight streaming through the ceiling / skylight We had to move the bed several times because it was so unbearable having bright sun in my face while looking up Any chance of a window blind?
