Awful experience from the moment I walked into the salon with my daughter. I obviously sound ‘less colourful’ on the phone so perhaps they weren’t expecting to see people like us. Inexperienced staff - I felt extremely uncomfortable, should have left straight away but thought I was imagining it so gave them a chance. Never again. My daughters legs were not waxed properly- I complained and they still took my money - if the shoe was on the other foot I would have been totally embarrassed and would not have accepted payment. Gross.

Had a “luxury pedicure” each, unfortunately there was nothing luxurious about it. Both “beauticians” started over 20 mins late, without any introductions or even addressing their tardiness. Booked appointments in advance yet were both asked several times what we were there for. We both take good care of our feet and each only had a little hard/dry skin on entering… Disappointed to find that the soles of our feet were the same as when we came in. One of the employees was very rough, filing skin around the nail more than the nail. The other one smudged the nail polish as she went, getting it stuck in almost every cuticle without bothering to correct her mistakes. I do a much, much better job myself. I was asked if I could “straighten my toes” before she started painting them as if I could change the natural positioning of my toes. When I said that was impossible, she just shoved some tissue in between my toes. Every towel used was ripped and ragged. The toilet was disgusting, really dirty with the same tatty hand towels. My mum and I treat ourselves to something like this once in a blue moon so overall 0/10. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND TO MY WORST ENEMY. £50 each is an absolute JOKE. Would have uploaded photos of nails if allowed more than one.

One of the worst bikini hot wax experiences I've ever had, the therapist was clearly in a rush to finish, it was really painful as she clearly couldn't wait for the wax to be ready to pull, I had to apply all lotions and cream by myself, it was uneven and parts weren't finished properly so had to tweeze when I got home. Will never be going back.

I had my eyebrows waxed here, when I went to the front desk to pay, I could see another employee out the corner of my eye looking at me, I didn't think anything of it. When I left and I put my sunglasses on that where hooked on the neck of my jumper, there was something all over the lense, when I took them off I released there was wax poured over them, along with my jumper. There was so much that it would have been hard for anyone to miss. This is why I think the other employee was looking at me, but no one said a word. Not happy with the service, so I won't be going back.

I have booked 3 treatments for my birthday: body scrub,massage and reflexology, one after the other. When I entered the room it was really cold. When I undressed temperature was unbearable, which I notified the therapist about. I was given blanket which helped, but obviously treatment area needs to be exposed, so I still felt cold. I thought she had turned the heating on and it was just taking its time, but as it turns out, she didn't. At some point I was so cold my hands were shivering. Therapist could obviously feel how cold I am, as she was touching my ice cold feet and hands. Towards the end, during reflexology I was so desperate I've asked again if she can do something about the heating and than she said: 'sure,I can turn the heating on'. Up until that point I thought the heating is not working or not efficient enough to work - but as it turns out it just wasn't on. Only by the time my nearly 3-hour-long session finished the room was warm enough to stay in.. I have informed the therapist that my experience would have been much better if I wasn't freezing, she became defensive saying that she turned the heating on at the beginning. I've pointed out that my feet and hands were ice cold, which she could feel - she just told me to dress up and go to the reception and she left the room. I'm really sorry to say that my experience was far from wonderful because of the discomfort I've experienced. I had much higher expectations, especially for the price charged.

Thought the salon was very shabby. Needs money spent on it to bring it up to date. Most fixtures & fittings are years old from when it was body magic. Also thought it was dusty and in need of a good deep clean. Staff were pleasant enough, lady doing my treatment was friendly but nothing outstanding. With so many other salons in Hitchin Cove needs to raise its game.
