Founded in 2006, we are associated with quality and professionalism. Chic is proud to say we have an overwhelming amount of loyal clients who have been with us since the day we first opened.


At Chic we feel it is important to get the consultation 'right' it is very easy to, miss read what the client really means, thats why we offer FREE consultations, to give you a taster of what we really have to offer, and give you the confidence that we truly understand you and your hair needs.


Chic believes that communication is the key, making you feel relaxed to talk about what you want from your style, which can help us transform you, making you feel more confident and beautiful.


We advise you on after care, reguarding shampoos, conditioners and styling products, we will show you how to apply them and how best to style your hair, so you can recreate your look at home.


Since opening Chic we have won best salon award in Skipton through the Craven Herald. Our salon consists of our Founder/Owner Claire Marsden-Dyson, salon director's Gemma Spencer and Kate Spence and our Senior Stylist Lauren Kirby.

I have been going to Chic for over three years now since moving to the area and it is the only time I have ever stayed with a regular hairdressing salon (having never found anywhere I wanted to return to on a repeated basis before). This is a wonderful, happy little salon where you are always made to feel welcome with friendly conversation, cups of tea / coffee and sometimes flapjack or cake! Talented stylists, who all have a great sense of humour and seem to genuinely enjoy their job, making visiting the salon a pleasant and feel good experience. Would highly recommend.

Became a client after my previous salon closed. Lovely team,wonderful Service. Gemma is my usual stylist and she is fab at what she does as well as being lovely. From time to time other members of the team have looked after me and they are also excellent. A superb salon, they all care about what they do and they do it brilliantly. Well done, keep up the good work.
