A modern, bright busy salon with nearby parking. Staff friendly and professional. High quality hair products used. Tea served in a proper cup and saucer! I saw a senior stylist and loved my cut-I received compliments from friends who don't usually notice that I've had my hair done. Very good value for money.

I was looking for a new stylist last Friday and went in Barrons to ask for a consultation. The salon was packed, but David made a space for me, as I was willing to go to the shops and come back 15 minutes later. The atmosphere was very friendly and I felt immediately at home. The advice and recommendations were done without rush and I could tell he was considering the matter carefully and sensibly. He advised on cut and on colour and brought his adviser for colour to double check his ideas. I decided to go for the cut and despite the fact that was a very busy day (Friday), he re-shuffled some of his clients to make a space for me. I was very happy with the cut, but he got somebody else to style it afterwards and I did not love it. When he came back to check the final look, he immediately said it was not his idea, so he offered - for the same price- for me to make an appointment the following day to finish it properly. The following day, it took another 45 min to wash, thin the hair a bit more and re-style. I was very happy with the end result. Another thing I really liked about this salon is that they use disposable towels which apparently have a much lower carbon footprint than cotton washable towels: no electricity/ water to wash them after a single use; they are also recyclable and reusable. I was also able to take the towel home, and it is very handy to clean up after my puppy and the water on the hall floor after a snowy day. Price-wise, it is not as expensive as certain Hairdressers of this rank. So I think I have found my hairdressing salon. I only wish I had discovered it sooner!

I always feel much more confident and relaxed after my visit to Barron's , but don't take my word for it, try for yourself!

Barrons is a friendly local hairdresser with some excellent staff members. I have been going there for about four years and am always very pleased with the stylish bob that Florian does. It falls easily into place and requires the minimum of attention when I am drying my hair.

David Barron has been cutting and styling my hair for over 10 years. He is a superb hairdresser and great company. He periodically suggests interesting variations in style which have always made me feel good so that I have developed complete confidence in his judgement - a priceless asset in a hairdresser-client relationship. I look forward to my appointments with David for the interesting and fun conversation and watching him work. His salon has a stylish, relaxing and friendly atmosphere and I wouldn't consider going anywhere else.
