This is the second time I have visited Lexden Retreat recently after along time away, I did go to the salon many years ago . I was made to feel very welcomed, and even recognised a member of staff, very pleased with my treatments and I believe to be very well priced. This time I booked myself in online which was very easy to do and very straight forward .

I had my eyebrows waxed by Jade yesterday. I normally find this procedure sore, but even so, it was much more painful than usual. My left eyelid hurt for the entire day. By the evening, visible areas of burnt and damaged skin were visible several centimetres BELOW my eyelid. An area where there is no hair, only delicate skin of the eyelid. An area where hot wax should never be applied. My eyelid continues to be extremely painful, and I am very concerned it may scar. Jade is a nice girl, but clearly has made a very serious mistake on the most delicate area of my face. I will be taking this matter further with the salon. However, I would also say I have used various other ladies at this salon for several years now to provide waxing and mani/pedicures and have always previosuly been happy with the service and standard of care provided.I will not be using Jade again.
