I want to bounce out of a salon after having my hair cut and blow dried. I basically left the salon looking the same as when I arrived. In fact I met my family straight after and no one commented on my hair! I thought this salon would be a salon that would advise me and offer ideas for my hair. Maybe it was me and I should have explained myself better. I felt deflated when I left. It took exactly an hour to cut and blow dry my hair. Again maybe I should have consulted more before I booked my appointment. The decor is beautiful it’s a shame the experience of having a haircut didn’t live up to my expectations

I ve been aveda salon’s client since five years and I’ve been with Edward James richmond since 1 year ish. Totally love the place and the professionalism of hairdressers . My favourite is Marcella. Today I tried Barna she was very good too and also Tiffany for my shampoo and dry was really nice and experience . The only suggestion I would give is that people are the reception including the one I believe was the manager of the salon , weren’t really nice or smiley. To be honest I think this should be improved. If I get inside a luxury saloon I want to be treated well from the beginning to the end and not only by the staff who is doing my hair. I expect people potentially welcoming me with hi how is your day doing instead of a hi, How can I help with funeral faces.

Local Richmond says 10% off but you only give 10% off transaction price - which I do think is a bit cheeky as it’s not 10% off the whole hair cut which is should be

The (I presume trainee) that gave me the massage, washed my hair etc had the longest pointy fake nails, I found it a little hard to relax, I also found she was a little short/impolite (e.g.do you want… rather than would you like and in front of me when the stylist reminded her that she’d forgotten the rubber neck wrap during my hair wash “do you still want my help…” ) The stylist that coloured and cut my hair was great though, although I did note that none of the styling products used were aveda which surprised me.

Dejan is fantastic, always gives great treatment and advice + is lovely to chat to and catch up with. Feels very pricey but I appreciate it is a nice salon and hair appointments tend to be costly, this is the only reason I would not recommend to all of my friends.
